Imagining a territory .
LUX 2025 is part of Luxembourg in Transition, an international consultation that brought together ten multidisciplinary teams to imagine how the territory of Luxembourg can reach carbon neutrality by 2050. Our commission was to visualise the proposal within that framework.
The challenge was one of scale and concept. This was not a building, but a vision of a territory — we had to give visual form to scenarios of ecological transition, to ideas about how an entire country is inhabited and planned for the future. We worked the images so that an abstract, complex proposal could become comprehensible, proving that visualisation also serves to imagine what does not yet exist.
